Dr. Najaf Asrar was born in Canada and raised in Florida. After moving to New Jersey in 2011 he completed his medical school and then his Internal Medicine residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. He then continued on to pursue his Endocrinology fellowship at Rutger's Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. 

​He is passionate about all endocrine conditions but has a keen interest in diabetes, adrenal and thyroid disease, and weight loss. He is working towards his third board certification in Obesity Medicine.
